Meet Dr. Myers

Matthew E. Myers, DMDMatthew E. Myers, DMD, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. He graduated from high school and attended Boise State University where he obtained a bachelor’s of science in Health science studies, and a masters of arts in Biology. Dr. Myers moved to Phoenix, Arizona with his wife in 2009 after being accepted to Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. His love for surgery grew after being exposed to several surgical cases both at his own dental school, and at a nearby hospital. He graduated with honors and was honored with membership to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental fraternity. Dr. Myers then attended a four year residency at the University of Arizona (Formerly known as Banner Good Samaritan) where he learned many surgical skills through rotations in internal medicine, anesthesia, general surgery, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, otolaryngology and neurosurgery. During his time in residency Dr. Myers also helped manage the only head and neck surgery service at Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix, which is one of the largest level one trauma centers in the state of Arizona. He also spent time educating dental students at Midwestern University College of dental medicine and providing oral surgery services to America’s veterans at the Phoenix VA.

Dr. Myers has interests in facial trauma, pathology, facial reconstruction, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery and management of wisdom teeth. He believes in lifelong learning and continues to implement the most advanced techniques in oral and maxillofacial surgery including Virtual Surgical Planning.

In his personal time Dr. Myers enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. His interests include mountain and road biking, hiking, camping and traveling.

After residency Dr. Myers has dreamed of returning to the Pacific Northwest to raise his family, and looks forward to becoming integrated into the community of Medford
